Janet Mathias received her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 1989 and her MA in Art Therapy from George Washington University in 1995. She attended Parson's School of Design in Paris, France, in 1987. It was there that she discovered the truth about good bread. A D.C. native, Mathias has been living and working in Baltimore City on and off for the past 20 years. Her second home is New Mexico, where she travels regularly for spiritual and creative inspiration, and for Hatch green chile.
